Have an abnormal PAP Smear? Treatments for Cervical Lesions
Dr Jessup regularly attends courses to update her skills and knowledge in the field of colposcopy and the treatment of abnormal PAP smears. Any patient with an abnormal PAP smear can be seen for a detailed discussion about their PAP smear result and the best advised management. A colposcopy and/or biopsy can be performed on the day of the first visit for confirmation of the abnormality.
A LLETZ procedure (Large Loop Excision of the Transformation Zone) can be performed in the operating theatre or in the consulting rooms as required. The vast majority of lesions either resolve spontaneously or are completely treated as the result of surgery.
